Manchester United moved to the top of Group B after Wayne Rooney’s header sealed a 1-0 victory over CSKA Moscow at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.

The Red Devils had drawn three of their last four games in all competitions ahead of the Champions League group-stage clash, whilst United had also lost to Middlesbrough on penalties after 0-0 draw following 120 minutes last week.

However, United captain Rooney scored United’s first goal since Anthony Martial’s equaliser in Russia last month to secure three points for the hosts with 11 minutes remaining.
