Nothing like mum's cooking for Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge

There’s nothing like mum’s cooking.

Daniel Sturridge may be an England and Liverpool super star with enough money in the bank to eat out every day of the week or hire a personal chef.

However, the Liverpool striker is still a sucker for his mum’s cooking, particularly after a game at Anfield on a cold, dark winter’s evening.

Sturridge made his comeback from a string of injuries on Sunday evening as the Liverpool forward helped Jurgen Klopp’s side see out a 1-0 win against Swansea City.

And the 26-year-old couldn’t disguise his excitement at the prospect of returning home to his mum’s cooking after the Premier League win.

Sturridge made his first Liverpool appearance under Jurgen Klopp on Sunday night after having been sidelined since October’s Merseyside derby, which was Brendan Rodgers’s final game in charge.
