Dietmar Hamann reveals Jurgen Klopp’s biggest impact at Liverpool

Former Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann says Jurgen Klopp has removed the fear from Reds players

Jurgen Klopp has taken away the fear that suffocated Liverpool, according to Reds legend Dietmar Hamann.

Liverpool are unbeaten in six games in all competitions under Klopp after the 48-year-old signed a three-year deal to replace Brendan Rodgers in October.

There seems less fear they will concede goals now & that gives the whole team much more confidence

The Reds have notched up three successive victories over the past week as Klopp’s Anfield appointment starts to pay dividends for the Merseyside outfit on the pitch.

And Hamann, who was part of Liverpool’s Champions League winning side in 2005, believes the 18-time English champions are more defensively solid with Klopp at the helm.

“The key aspect to Klopp’s reign so far at LFC is he seems to have taken away the fear that sometimes suffocated the team,” Hamann told BreatheSport.

“He looks to have instilled belief back in the group. This may come from his own energy; but I also believe it comes from the greater organisation he has brought into the team.

“There seems less fear they will concede goals now & that gives the whole team much more confidence.”

Liverpool face Alan Pardew’s Crystal Palace side at Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

The Reds have beaten Bournemouth in the League Cup, Chelsea in the Premier League and Europa League opponents Rubin Kazan in their last three games.
