Dietmar Hamann surprised to see Daniel Sturridge on Liverpool bench
Dietmar Hamann posts a sarcastic tweet after Daniel Sturridge is named among Liverpool's substitutes
Dietmar Hamann has expressed his surprise at Daniel Sturridge’s swift recovery from a foot injury after he was named on Liverpool’s bench for Sunday’s Swansea City clash.
The England international hasn’t featured for the Reds since new manager Jurgen Klopp took over the reins at Anfield following October’s Merseyside derby.
Sturridge’s last Liverpool appearance came at Goodison Park before he picked up a knee injury in training which has kept him sidelined, then he complained of a problem with his foot ahead of a return to action this week.
However, his most-recent setback doesn’t appear to have been serious after Jurgen Klopp named the striker among his substitutes for the Swans clash, prompting an unimpressed Hamann to take to Twitter.

Sturridge missed Liverpool’s 4-1 victory over Manchester City at Etihad Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
He scored a brilliant brace in a 3-2 victory over Aston Villa at Anfield in September.
The Reds forward moved to Liverpool in a £12m deal from defending Premier League champions Chelsea in January 2013.
