Dimitri Payet delivers West Ham injury update ahead of Tottenham clash
West Ham striker Dimitri Payet vow to come back stronger from injury blow
Dimitri Payet has reassured West Ham United supporters that he is going to “work even harder” to make a successful recovery from injury.
The France international has been ruled out of action for three months after he damaged his left ankle following a tackle from Republic of Ireland midfielder James McCarthy during Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Everton at Upton Park.
Payet initially tried to play on following the collision before he was replaced in the 50th minute following the crunching challenge from the Everton playmker.
And the Hammers forward, who has been one of the stars of the Premier League this season, took to social media to update West Ham supporters on his injury.
Hey guys just a little feedback just wanted to say that I'm recovering. I'm gonna work even harder… https://t.co/fwUSi3kCGc

The 28-year-old forward has scored five goals and has made three assists in 12 Premier League games this season.
Payet moved to the Hammers from Ligue 1 side Marseille in a £10.7m deal in the summer transfer window.
