Ross Barkley has revealed that he is a keen admirer of both Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla – and says that he often watches clips of the Arsenal duo in action.

Both Cazorla and Ozil have been in fine form for the Gunners so far this season to help them up to fourth place in the table and two points behind leaders Leicester City.

The 27-year-old Ozil has made 11 assists and scored one goal in 12 Premier League games for the north London side so far this term.

Cazorla, meanwhile, has notched up three assists in 13 top-flight run-outs for Arsene Wenger’s men this season.

And Everton midfielder Barkley admits that he often tunes into YouTube to watch clips of the Gunners duo in action as he bids to improve his own game.

Barkley is quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror: “I watch clips of all players. I watched Mesut Ozil in the summer, and Yaya Toure. When I am at home and there is no footy on the telly, I will put YouTube on and watch clips.

“It won’t be just the best clips, it will be clips of what they do throughout the whole game.

“I’ve been watching Santi Cazorla. He’s good at creating chances and dictating play for the size of him. He is a great player.”

Arsenal return to Premier League action with a trip to Norwich City on Sunday afternoon.
