Ex-Chelsea star sends message to Man United fans over Memphis Depay

Arjen Robben is sure that Memphis Depay will develop into a key player at Manchester United

Arjen Robben has told Manchester United fans to be patient with Memphis Depay and is fully expecting the Netherlands international to be a big hit at Old Trafford.

The 21-year-old has failed to produce consistent performances for the Red Devils since his arrival at the club from PSV Eindhoven in the summer transfer window.

Depay was left on the bench for United’s 2-0 win over West Bromwich Albion last weekend after falling down the pecking order under manager Louis van Gaal.

However, Depay’s Netherlands team-mate Robben says that he is certain that the attacker will soon find his feet in the Premier League.

Robben is quoted as saying by the Daily Express: “Memphis is a great talent.

“I am convinced he will settle at Manchester United.”

Depay will be hoping to feature when United return to Premier League action with a trip to Watford after the international break on Saturday 21 November.

The Red Devils are currently fourth in the table and two points behind leaders Manchester City after 12 games.
