Former Liverpool man hails Anthony Martial’s impact at Man United

Jamie Redknapp names Man United forward Anthony Martial as one of his stars of the Premier League season

Jamie Redknapp has hailed Anthony Martial’s impact at Manchester United.

The France international was one of the biggest transfers of the summer after he moved to the 20-time English champions in a £36m deal from Ligue 1 side Monaco on transfer deadline day.

Martial has made a seamless transition from French top-flight football to the Premier League after he scored three goals in his first eight games for Louis van Gaal’s side.

Former Liverpool captain Redknapp named Martial as one of the best players of the Premier League so far after the striker helped United ease to a 2-0 win against West Brom on Saturday.

Redknapp told Daily Mail: “His impact has been brilliant. At 19, he has tremendous pace and will have a great career.”

The French striker has scored three goals and has made one assist in eight Premier League games for United.

Martial has also netted in the Champions League and League Cup since his big-money move to the Red Devils from Monaco.
