Dietmar Hamann: Why Harry Kane reminds me of Tottenham legend
Dietmar Hamann says Harry Kane is emulating Tottenham Hotspur legend Teddy Sheringham
Dietmar Hamann says Harry Kane reminds him of Tottenham Hotspur legend Teddy Sheringham.
The England international broke the deadlock in Sunday’s London derby in the 23rd minute before Spurs centre-half Toby Alderweireld added a second for the hosts.
Kane added a third after half-time before Kyle Walker sealed three points despite Manuel Lanzini’s late goal for the Hammers.
The 22-year-old striker has scored seven times in his last four Premier League games for the north London outfit, helping Tottenham to equal a club record 12-game unbeaten run.
And former Liverpool midfielder Hamann likened Kane to ex-Tottenham striker Sheringham, who scored 88 times in 236 Premier League games during two spells at White Hart Lane.
Love watching Harry Kane, he's a proper player. Reminds me of Teddy Sheringham, great touch, vision and can finish. Always one step ahead.

Tottenham moved to within a point of fourth-placed Arsenal in the Premier League.
The England striker has netted eight times in 13 games for the north London side in the English top-flight this season.
