Former Liverpool star safe after being caught up in Paris terror attacks
Martin Kelly has contacted Crystal Palace to confirm that he is safe after fans became concerned about the defender on social media
Crystal Palace have confirmed that Martin Kelly has made contact with the club amid fears about his safety after the former Liverpool defender posted a picture Cafe La Perle – a restaurant thought to be targeted by terrorists in Paris.
Supporters became concerned about the 25-year-old after he uploaded the photo below onto his Instagram account before the attacks on Friday night, along with the caption: “Found a decent little spot for tonight #paris #cafelaperle.”
The restaurant was thought to have been attacked by gunmen as part of the series of terrorist attacks in the French capital on Friday night.
However, Crystal Palace used their official Twitter account to confirm that Kelly is safe and well.

France has declared a national state of emergency and tightened its borders after a deadly night of gun and bomb attacks in the capital.
At least 80 people were reported killed after gunmen burst into the Bataclan concert hall and took hostages before security forces stormed the centre.
People were also shot dead at restaurants and bars at five other sites in Paris.
