Gabriel Paulista sends Arsenal warning to Bayern Munich
Gabriel Paulista says Arsenal will be gunning for a win against Bayern Munich on Wednesday night
Gabriel Paulista has warned Bayern Munich that Arsenal will be gunning for victory when they take on the Bundesliga side in Germany on Wednesday night.
The Gunners travel to Germany looking to build on their impressive 2-0 win over Pep Guardiola’s men at Emirates Stadium last month.
That victory was Arsenal’s first of the Champions League group stage after Arsene Wenger’s men slumped to back-to-back defeats in their opening two games.
Despite their win, the north London side remained bottom of their group and need a result in Munich to keep their hopes of reaching the knockout phase of Europe’s elite club competition alive.
And Gabriel says Arsenal will head into Wednesday’s game looking to claim a victory at the Allianz Arena.
Gabriel told Sky Sports News: “When we play away, we also have to have a slightly different outlook, but that doesn’t mean we will spend the whole game defending.
“We are a big team, we are Arsenal and we need to attack because we need the result, but we need to attack with intelligence and make sure we don’t suffer a defeat and complicate our situation for the rest of our competition.”
Arsenal warmed up for Wednesday’s clash with Munich by beating Swansea City 3-0 in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon to leave them second in the table.
