Gary Neville believes that Manchester United are likely to be held to a draw by Leicester City in Saturday’s top-of-the-table clash at the King Power Stadium.

The Red Devils take on surprise leaders City knowing that a victory would move them to the top of the Premier League table and lay down a significant marker ahead of the hectic festive schedule.

Louis van Gaal’s side slumped to a 5-3 defeat by Leicester in the same fixture last season as the Foxes claimed a thrilling victory.

And Neville feels that Leicester’s fighting spirit will prove to be a serious test for United on Saturday evening.

Neville told Sky Sports: “I think United will never, and can never, feel safe on Saturday, no matter what the score is.

“Leicester always come back, fight to the end. United had a sobering experience there last year. It’s a great game for the neutrals.

“But United are the type of team that can take the sting out of an opposition who want to play quickly.

“I think it’ll be a draw. I don’t think either team would be disgusted with a draw.

“Obviously United want to go and win every game, it’s the nature of the club, but Saturday is a very difficult game. It’s a game that lots of other teams have struggled in.”

United head into the game looking to return to winning ways after their goalless draw with PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

The Red Devils are currently second in the table after their 2-1 win at Watford last weekend.
