Gary Neville reacts to reports by telling Man United to sign this man

Gary Neville says he would sign Cristiano Ronaldo for Manchester United in a heartbeat if given a chance

Gary Neville has insisted that he would sign Cristiano Ronaldo for Manchester United “tomorrow” if given the chance.

The former Manchester United defender was quoted as saying over the weekend that he would rather United stepped up their pursuit of Gareth Bale and suggested that the Red Devils should forget about Ronaldo.

United have long been linked with a move to bring Ronaldo back to the club from Real Madrid since he left Old Trafford back in 2009 and the player himself has consistently expressed his affection for his former employers.

Now, Neville has underlined his belief that the Red Devils should definitely look to bring Ronaldo back to the club if the opportunity arises.

Neville tweeted on Monday:

United return to Premier League action with a trip to Watford on Saturday lunchtime after the international break.

Louis van Gaal’s men are currently fourth in the Premier League table and two points behind joint leaders Manchester City and Arsenal.
