Hector Bellerin reveals his pride at being named the Catalan young player of the year
Hector Bellerin has taken to social media to express his pride at being named the Catalan young player of the year.
The defender has been in brilliant form for Arsenal so far this season and has been a regular fixture in Arsene Wenger’s first team.
He has established himself as a regular in the Arsenal side in recent months after breaking into Wenger’s side last season following an injury to Mathieu Debuchy.
Bellerin, who joined Arsenal from Barcelona as a teenager, missed last weekend’s north London derby due to a groin injury, as Debuchy replaced the youngster at right-back.
However, the 20-year-old looked in good spirits as he collected the Catalan prize.
Bellerin posted the picture above on his Instagram account and wrote: “Very proud moment for me & my family to win Catalan YPOTY Award! Time to keep working hard & aim for more!”
The right-back will be hoping to recover during the international break and be fit to face West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League with Arsenal on Saturday 21 November.
