Jamie Carragher runs rule over Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp

Jamie Carragher says he enjoys listening to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp

Jamie Carragher has hailed Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp as a great character ahead of Sunday’s clash against Crystal Palace at Anfield.

Klopp replaced Brendan Rodgers in October after the former Borussia Dortmund manager signed a three-year deal with the 18-time English champions.

The 48-year-old German has started to build some momentum in his Liverpool career after three successive victories in all competitions.

Speaking to SoccerAM on Saturday, former Liverpool defender Carragher likened Klopp to under-fire Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.

“There’s no doubt he’s a character. It’s not just a signing for Liverpool but the Premier League,” Carrgher told the Sky Sports show.

“He’s one of those managers you want to see his interview on a Friday. When you interview all the managers he’s the one you want to hear what he’s got to say.

“It’s similar to when Jose Mourinho’s speaking and I like listening to Louis van Gaal. He always makes me laugh and Klopp’s another one. You want to listen to what he’s got to say.”

Klopp secured his first Premier League win as Liverpool boss after a 3-1 victory over defending champions Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last weekend.

The Reds have won their last three games under Klopp after beating Bournemouth, Chelsea and Europa League opponents Rubin Kazan.

Klopp is unbeaten in six games since the charismatic German took over the reins from Northern Irishman Rodgers last month.
