John Aldridge says Jurgen Klopp must start Jordon Ibe for Liverpool’s clash against Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.

The Reds forward scored his first goal for the Merseyside outfit as he netted the winner in a 1-0 victory over Rubin Kazan in the Europa League on Thursday night.

However, Ibe is still waiting for his first start under the 48-year-old manager in the Premier League since Klopp took over the reins from Brendan Rodgers last month.

And former Liverpool striker Aldridge believes Ibe is the Reds’s form player and warrants a starting spot for Sunday’s clash against Alan Pardew’s Palace side at Anfield.

The 19-year-old has started just two Premier League games this season, although Ibe has made a further six appearances from the bench.

Ibe has scored one goal in three Europa League games for the Mersyside outfit.
