Jose Mourinho reacts to Eden Hazard’s performance in Chelsea win

Jose Mourinho expresses his delight at seeing Eden Hazard produce a solid display in Chelsea's win over Norwich

Jose Mourinho praised Eden Hazard for an improved display as Chelsea returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over Norwich City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

The Blues headed into the game on the back of their seventh Premier League defeat of the season at Stoke City before the international break and languishing in 16th place in the table.

Hazard, like many of his Blues team-mates, has struggled to find consistent form during Chelsea’s stuttering start to the new campaign.

However, the Belgian playmaker impressed for the Blues as he was named man of the match and left the pitch to a standing ovation in the 90th minute in west London.

And Mourinho was thrilled to see the PFA player of the year produced a good display against the Canaries.

Mourinho told his post-match news conference: “I think everybody played well; between Eden, Pedro and Willian they had a good dynamic.

“Eden created chances for us which was important, and also for his confidence.

“Again, he’s a player who hasn’t been performing especially well and every top player who isn’t playing well feels it more than the others.”

Diego Costa scored the only goal of the game in the 64th minute at Stamford Bridge.
