Johnny Giles believes Jurgen Klopp is made for Liverpool.

The Reds manager secured back-to-back wins on Thursday night after Liverpool’s 2-1 victory over Bordeaux in the Europa League.

Klopp masterminded the Merseyside outfit’s impressive 4-1 win against Manchester City at The Etihad last weekend.

The German was appointed as the new Liverpool manager after the 18-time English champions sacked Brendan Rodgers following October’s Merseyside derby.

Former Manchester United midfielder Giles believes Klopp is the perfect appointment for the Reds following the 48-year-old’s success at Borussia Dortmund.

“I think Jurgen Klopp was made for Liverpool,” Giles told Newstalk.

“What he did at Dortmund was take one of the really big clubs in Germany and win the league twice. Liverpool are in a similar position that Dortmund were in.

“A great club that hasn’t being doing well lately. I feel they are made for each other.”

Klopp’s Liverpool side are in ninth place but just six points behind fourth-placed Arsenal.
