Arsenal could be boosted by the return of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Aaron Ramsey next week as the midfield duo continue their recoveries from muscular injuries.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has been out of action with a hamstring problem suffered early on during the 3-0 League Cup loss to Sheffield Wednesday last month.

Ramsey, meanwhile, has been missing since suffering a hamstring problem during the 2-0 Champions League win over Bayern Munich on 20 October.

Speaking before the international break, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger revealed that the duo could both be back in action and potentially available for selection for next Saturday’s trip to West Bromwich Albion.

Oxlade-Chamberlain posted a positive Arsenal injury update on social media during the week, sharing a video of himself stepping up his rehabilitation with some sprint training at the Gunners’ London Colney training ground.

Meanwhile, widespread media reports this weekend suggest that Hector Bellerin is also closing in on a return to action.

The Spanish right-back has been sidelined since the 3-0 win over Swansea City with a minor groin problem but reports suggest that he could be back in contention for next weekend’s trip to the Hawthorns.
