Latest Arsenal injury update: Wenger on team news ahead of Norwich trip
The latest Arsenal injury update from manager Arsene Wenger as the Gunners prepare for their trip to Norwich City
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could make his comeback from injury at Norwich City on Sunday, Arsene Wenger has confirmed as he delivered the latest Arsenal injury update on Thursday morning.
The England international has not featured for the north London side since suffering the problem during the 3-0 League Cup defeat by Sheffield Wednesday last month.
However, Wenger told reporters at his pre-match news conference at Arsenal’s London Colney training ground that Oxlade-Chamberlain could be in line to make his comeback against the Canaries.
The Arsenal boss also confirmed that there have been no fresh injury setbacks following the Gunners’ 3-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Wenger opted to withdraw Hector Bellerin and Olivier Giroud in the second half of the European win but the Frenchman revealed that he has everybody who faced Zagreb available for Sunday’s clash.

Theo Walcott (calf)
Danny Welbeck (knee)
Jack Wilshere (ankle)
Tomas Rosicky (knee)
Wenger was also asked for the latest Arsenal injury update concerning Theo Walcott, who has also not featured since the loss to Sheffield Wednesday due to a calf problem.
And the Arsenal boss confirmed that although Walcott is not ready for Sunday’s clash, the England international’s comeback does not look to be too far away.
“He [Walcott] has another big hurdle to get across today and hopefully he can be successful,” said Wenger.
“Maybe Oxlade-Chamberlain should be back in the squad [to face Norwich]. Theo Walcott not for Sunday, he goes through a few steps.”
Wenger added: “Everyone who played Tuesday is available.”
Arsenal head into Sunday’s game looking to return to winning ways after their 2-1 loss to West Bromwich Albion last weekend.
That result was made worse as Francis Coquelin picked up a serious medial ligament injury to rule the midfielder out of action for at least 12 weeks.
