Laurent Koscielny one of best centre-halves, declares Arsenal team-mate

Arsenal full-back Hector Bellerin says Laurent Koscielny is a great goal-scoring centre-half

Laurent Koscielny is one of the best centre-halves in the world, according to Arsenal star Hector Bellerin.

The France international has helped the north London side remain unbeaten in their last six Premier League games.

He has a very good technique, knows when to play the ball and he scores a lot of goals as well

Koscielny has been a mainstay of the Arsenal defence this season as Arsene Wenger alternated between Per Mertesacker and Gabriel Paulista.

And Bellerin, who has already racked up 10 Premier League appearances this season, heaped praise on the 30-year-old centre-half.

“He’s one of the top centre-backs in the world right now and has improved a lot in the last four or five years,” Bellerin is quoted as saying by Sky Sports.

“He has a very good technique, knows when to play the ball and he scores a lot of goals as well. He already has two or three this season, which I think is important for a centre-back.”

Koscielny has already scored twice in 10 Premier League games for the Gunners this season.

The France defender scored in back-to-back top-flight games against Everton and Swansea City.

Arsene Wenger’s side have won five of their last six Premier League games to leave them joint-top of the table.

The north London side face West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns in their next top-flight outing on 21 November.
