Sheyi Ojo says he is hoping to impress Jurgen Klopp with many of Liverpool’s big-name stars away on international duty.

The 18-year-old has returned to Melwood for two weeks during the international break after the Liverpool starlet joined Wolverhampton Wanderers on a season-loan at the start of the season.

Ojo has scored two goals in 13 games in the Championship for Wolves, as the striker looks to impress his employers Liverpool in pursuit of a first appearance for the Merseyside outfit.

And the England Under-19 international is looking forward to catching the eye of the former Borussia Dortmund manager before he returns to Wolves next week.

“He seems like a really nice manager and he wants to help all of the players,” Ojo told Liverpool’s website.

“He’s just said to me to keep my head down, keep working hard and obviously we’ll just see what the future holds.

“I think he’s come to see me a couple of times which is nice to hear and hopefully I can keep on improving and keep on doing well.

“With the right guidance I think I can do well in this team. I’m still learning and I’m still young so I’ll just see how it goes and see what the manager wants me to do.”

Ojo scored the winner in Liverpool’s pre-season friendly in August before he signed a new long-term deal with the Merseyside outfit days later.
