Man United transfers: Radja Nainggolan discusses future amid Chelsea link

Man United target Radja Nainggolan says he could stay in Rome forever

Radja Nainggolan says he could stay at Roma forever despite reported interest from the Premier League.

The Belgium international teed up Gervinho for Roma’s second goal in a 2-0 victory over Lazio in the Rome derby last weekend.

The 27-year-old midfielder wore the captain’s derby for their close-fought victory over the Silver Eagles in the Italian capital.

Nainggolan’s performances have promoted talk of interest from Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United.

However, the Belgian reiterated that he is happy at Roma despite speculation linking the midfielder with a Premier League switch.

“The victory was a wonderful moment and wearing the captain’s armband will remain in my memory for all time,” Nainggolan is quoted as saying by Daily Star.

“Is my future still with Roma? I could stay here forever, albeit not as captain.”

Nainggolan has made one assist in 12 appearances in Serie A this season, as well as creating one goal in four Champions League games.

The Roma playmaker is part of Marc Wilmots’s squad ahead of Belgium’s clash against Italy on Friday night.
