Martin Keown has named Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli as one of his stars of the Premier League season so far.

The 19-year-old midfielder was named man of the match after an influential performance in Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Arsenal in the north London derby at Emirates Stadium.

Alli has enjoyed a whirlwind start to his Spurs career after the newly-capped England international moved to White Hart Lane in a £5m deal from MK Dons.

Keown cast his former rivalry with Spurs to one side as the retired Arsenal centre-half heaped praise on Tottenham’s flawless Alli.

“I’m struggling to see his weaknesses. He drives from midfield, scores and reads the game well,” Keown told Daily Mail.

Alli has scored two times in 11 Premier League games for the north London side this season.

The 19-year-old rangy midfielder has also made four appearances in this term’s Europa League.

Alli received his first England call-up last month for their games against Estonia and Lithuania.

Roy Hodgson has included Alli in his Three Lions squad for their upcoming friendlies against Spain and France.
