Mesut Ozil has taken to social media to reveal his disappointment in the wake of Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with Norwich City on Sunday.

The Germany playmaker gave Arsene Wenger’s men the lead in the first half at Carrow Road when he latched on to Alexis Sanchez’s through-ball and chipped his finish into the far post.

However, the Canaries battled back to earn a point after Lewis Grabban held off the challenge of Gabriel Paulista to fire past Petr Cech two minutes before half-time.

The result was made worse for the Gunners after Alexis Sanchez, Laurent Koscielny and Santi Cazorla all picked up injuries during the stalemate.

And Ozil was quick to use his Instagram account to give his take on the result and wish his injured team-mates a speedy recovery.

Ozil shared the picture above on the photo-sharing app and wrote: “A pity we didn’t win the match today 🙈 But the Premier League table is incredibly tight this season… so it’s all still possible! 👊

“I hope Laurent and Alexis we’ll be back very soon! ✊ #COYG @arsenal”
