Philippine Mavericks partners with Viagogo to allow fans to see Williams and Nadal

Viagogo and Philippine Mavericks join forces to bring more international fans to the tennis extravaganza in Manila

Viagogo and Philippine Mavericks have partnered to bring more international fans to the tennis extravaganza in Manila in December.

Viagogo will become the official international ticketing partner of Philippine Mavericks, one of the leading franchises of the International Premier Tennis League (IPTL), by providing a secure online platform for fans to buy their three-day tickets for the event at the Mall of Asia Arena through Viagogo’s network of 60 global websites, using the language, currency and device of their choice.

Ms. Clementine Poblete-Apacible, project head of the Philippine Mavericks, said: “Our partnership with viagogo allows us to make our premium tennis event more accessible to an international audience.

“Given the fact that Serena Williams will be headlining our franchise and that Rafael Nadal will be coming to Manila for the first time to play an exciting match up, will be appealing for fans worldwide. We chose to work with viagogo because it has a heritage of working with the leading tennis properties worldwide such as the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals in London, and its platform enables people to search for tickets in their own language, on the device of their choice and buy in their own currency before travelling overseas. It’s a smart, simple and safe new way to buy tickets to our exciting event.”

A viagogo spokesperson added: “The Philippine Mavericks are spearheading this exciting new format of tennis with the IPTL. 3 action packed days watching tennis legends such as Serena Williams, Rafael Nadal, Sabine Lisicki and Ana Ivanovic play at the iconic Mall of Asia Arena should be a treat for any tennis fan in the world. We’re delighted to be working with the Philippine Mavericks to give their fans the confidence to buy their tickets before they fly to see their favourite tennis stars in action.”

The three-day event at the Manila leg of the International Premier Tennis League takes place from December 6 to 8 2015 at the Mall of Asia Arena. The Philippine Mavericks goes up against four other teams composed of top-ranked players, top young guns and legends in the ATP and WTA.

Fans at the 2015 edition of the Philippine Mavericks will also witness Rafael Nadal of the Indian Aces play for the first time in Manila along-side Serena Williams, Ana Ivanovic, Gael Monfils, Aga Radwanska, Milos Roanic, Tomas Berdych, Belinda Bencic, Richard Gasquet Karolina Pliskova; top young guns like Sabine Lisicki, Nick Kyrgios, Treat Huey, Sania Mirza; and legends Carlos Moya, Mark Philippoussis, Marat Safin and Goran Ivanisevic to name a few.
