Ander Herrera attempts to lift Manchester United's spirits after their goalless draw at Crystal Palace
Ander Herrera has taken to social media to reveal his disappointment at Manchester United’s failure to beat Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The 26-year-old midfielder played the full 90 minutes but was unable to help Louis van Gaal’s men find the crucial winner in London.
The result means that United have now not scored a goal in more than five hours of football, with Saturday’s draw following stalemates against Manchester City and Middlesbrough at Old Trafford.
However, Herrera used his personal Instagram account to issue a rallying cry as United prepare to take on CSKA Moscow in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Herrera shared the photo above on his personal Instagram account and wrote: “We didn’t get the result that we were looking for but we have a crucial week with two games at old trafford 🔴 #united”
Herrera has scored two goals and made one assist in the Premier League this season.
United are at home to CSKA in the Champions League on Tuesday before hosting West Bromwich Albion on Saturday 7 November in the Premier League.
