David Ospina reveals that he is back in training as Arsenal turn their attentions to Sunday's north London derby
David Ospina offered Arsenal fans some positive news on what was a night to forget for the Gunners after confirming that he is back in training ahead of Sunday’s clash with Tottenham.
The goalkeeper has been out of action since suffering a shoulder problem while on international duty with Colombia last month and was left out as Arsene Wenger’s men slumped to a 5-1 defeat by Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
However, the shot-stopper took to social media on Wednesday evening to reveal that he is back in training as Arsenal now turn their attentions back to the Premier League and Sunday’s north London derby showdown with Spurs at Emirates Stadium.
Ospina shared the photo above on his personal Instagram account and wrote: “De vuelta a entrenar / back training 🏽”
Goals from Robert Lewandowski, Thomas Muller and David Alaba put Bayern 3-0 before half-time.
Arjen Robben made it 4-0 shortly after the break, and Olivier Giroud netted a volley in the 69th minute to pull one back for the Gunners.
However, Muller’s neat finish after a sweeping Bayern counter-attack added gloss to the scoreline as Pep Guardiola’s men secured a thumping victory.
