Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger tells the Red Devils to continue their winning streak
Bastian Schweinsteiger has issued a rallying cry ahead of Manchester United’s home clash against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday afternoon.
The Germany international completed 89 minutes of their 1-0 victory over CSKA Moscow in the Champions League group stage at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.
The Red Devils hoisted themselves to the top of Group B ahead of Eredivisie champions PSV Eindhoven following their close-fought win against Russian side.
And World Cup winner Schweinsteiger, who won the competition with Bayern Munich in 2013, reflected on United’s “great” Champions League victory.
Schweinsteiger wrote on the photo-sharing app: “Last night’s win felt great! Let’s keep going. #mufc”
United goalkeeper David De Gea and England centre-half Chris Smalling made important blocks to deny CSKA striker Seydou Doumbia in the second half at Old Trafford.
