David De Gea has spoken of his disappointment after Manchester United failed to beat Leicester City in a 1-1 draw at King Power Stadium on Saturday.

Leicester striker Jamie Vardy set a new Premier League record after the newly-capped England international scored in his 11th successive game to break the deadlock for the hosts in the first half.

However, Louis van Gaal’s side were level at half-time after experienced Germany midfielder Schweinsteiger powered a header past Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel in added time.

De Gea posted the above photo and wrote the following caption on Instagram following Saturday’s stalemate: “Tough work today, a shame we only picked up one point. We remain in the fight! @manchesterunited”

The 20-time English champions are a point behind joint leaders Manchester City and Leicester following their point at King Power Stadium.

Van Gaal’s men host West Ham United at Old Trafford in their next Premier League fixture next weekend.
