John Terry has taken to social media to pay tribute to Diego Costa after the striker fired Chelsea to a 1-0 victory over Norwich City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

The Spain international was on target in the second half in west London as Jose Mourinho’s men returned to winning way after slumping to their seventh defeat of the season at Stoke City earlier this month.

Terry and Kurt Zouma successfully kept the Canaries at bay in the Chelsea defence at Stamford Bridge during the game.

And the Chelsea captain used his personal Instagram account to pay tribute to Costa as he netted to move the Blues up to 14th place in the table.

Terry shared the picture above on the photo-sharing app on Saturday evening and wrote: “Myself and @kurtzouma delighted with 3 points and a clean sheet today.

“Great finish from @diego.costa ⚽️ and a very solid and good team performance. @chelseafc #cfc #chelsea”
