Jordon Ibe was all smiles with Daniel Sturridge as Liverpool trained ahead of Thursday night’s Europa League clash against Bordeaux.

The England striker is in contention to feature against the Ligue 1 side after spending over six weeks on the sidelines following his latest injury setback after October’s Merseyside derby.

Sturridge is still waiting to make his first appearance under new Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp after the German replaced Brendan Rodgers following the 1-1 draw with Everton.

And England Under-21 international Ibe is certainly happy to have his team-mate back in first-team training at Melwood after he uploaded the above photo.

Ibe wrote on the photo-sharing app: “The big homie.. 💎 #LFC”

Sturridge missed Liverpool’s 4-1 victory over Manchester City at Etihad Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

He scored a brilliant brace in a 3-2 victory over Aston Villa at Anfield in September.
