Daniel Sturridge is staying positive despite the Liverpool striker’s recent injury setback.

The England international is still waiting to make his first Liverpool appearance under Jurgen Klopp after having missed the German’s opening four games in charge of the Merseyside outfit.

Sturridge injured his knee in first-team training after the Merseyside derby after the 26-year-old striker made his return from a hip operation earlier this season.

However, the former Chelsea and Manchester City forward is refusing to get downbeat about his injury woes after he posted a positive message on his Instagram page.

Sturridge wrote on his Instagram page: “Light always at the end of the tunnel… #redordead”

The Liverpool striker scored his first goal since March in the Merseyside outfit’s 3-2 victory over Villa.

The England international endured an injury-hit 2014/15 season after a string of injury problems kept the forward sidelined.
