Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet sends a message of support to Mamadou Sakho

Simon Mingolet has wished Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho a speedy recovery after the Frenchman was forced off with injury during a 2-1 defeat by Crystal Palace on Sunday.

The former Paris Saint-Germain centre-half injured his right knee after he landed awkward following a challenge with Palace winger Yannick Bolasie during the first half of Sunday’s defeat.

Sakho was replaced by Dejan Lovren as the Reds suffered their first defeat under Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp after the 48-year-old took over the Merseyside outfit last month.

And Liverpool goalkeeper Mignolet sent a message of support to the 25-year-old defender via his Instagram page on Sunday night.

Mignolet wrote on the photo-sharing app on Sunday evening: “Hopefully not too bad, get well soon #YNWA”

Sakho has been a mainstay of the Liverpool defence since Klopp took over the reins from Brendan Rodgers.
