Manchester United striker Anthony Martial says he will work harder after disappointing performance
Anthony Martial has vowed to work harder after the Manchester United forward was left disappointed by his performance in a 1-0 victory over CSKA Moscow on Tuesday night.
The France international was unable to trouble CSKA goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev as United captain Wayne Rooney scored a 79th minute winner in the Champions League group-stage clash at Old Trafford.
The 19-year-old forward has failed to score in his last four appearances for the Red Devils after drawing a blank against Manchester City, Middlesbrough, Crystal Palace and CSKA.
And Martial took to his Instagram page to criticise his bad performance but reflect on a good result for Louis van Gaal’s side in their pursuit of a place in the Champions League knockout phase.
Martial wrote on the photo-sharing app: “Bad match for me tonight but good win 💪🏽 #Workhard”
The French teenager has scored five times and has made one assist in 13 appearances in all competitions for the 20-time English champions.
