Andreas Pereira was quick to send a message to David De Gea as the Manchester United goalkeeper celebrated his 25th birthday on Saturday.

The shot-stopper is preparing to line up against West Bromwich Albion at Old Trafford as Louis van Gaal’s men look to return to winning ways in the Premier League after their goalless draw with Crystal Palace at the weekend.

De Gea would have been hoping for three points as his perfect birthday present – and the 19-year-old Pereira was quick to send a message for his team-mate after snapping a selfie with him.

Pereira posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote: “Happy Birthday legend, all the best in your career and may God continue to bless you !! ✌🏽️✌🏽🎉🎉🎊🎊 @d_degeaofficial”
