Marcos Rojo was all smiles as he posed for a snap with Manchester United reject Angel di Maria and his Argentina team-mates on Wednesday night.

The Red Devils centre-half is part of La Albiceleste’s squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifier against bitter rivals Brazil.

Rojo was included in the United squad after an impressive recent run in Louis van Gaal’s first-team as he deputises for injured Luke Shaw.

Di Maria swapped United for Paris Saint-Germain in the summer after a miserable season at Old Trafford following a British record £59.7m switch from Real Madrid in 2014.

Rojo looked relaxed with Di Maria as the pair joined Javier Mascherano and Manchester City defender Martin Demichelis ahead of their clash against Brazil on Friday night.

Rojo wrote on Twitter: “That beautiful day. Last training before the classic with Brazil #Argentina”

Di Maria scored four times in 32 appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils last season.

The Argentine joined United weeks after his compatriot Rojo completed a £16m move to Old Trafford from Sporting Lisbon.
