Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo chats with Red Devils target Nico Gaitan

Marcos Rojo was deep in chat with Manchester United target Nicolas Gaitan during Argentina’s final training session ahead of their clash against Brazil on Friday night.

The Red Devils defender received a call up to the Argentina squad after a string of impressive performances at left-back for Louis van Gaal’s side in recent weeks.

Benfica winger Gaitan has been linked with United in recent months, whilst Premier League frontrunners Arsenal and Manchester City are also thought to be keen.

The Argentine forward is reported to be valued at £24m by his Portuguese owners, having scored three goals in four games in the Champions League this season.

And Rojo, who moved to United from Sporting Lisbon in 2014, will send Red Devils’s imaginations running wild after he was snapped deep in conversation with the Benfica man.

Rojo wrote on the photo-sharing app: “Last training before the game, with my friend @nicogaitan tomorrow we will give all”
