Martin Skrtel has taken to Instagram to wish Liverpool centre-half Mamadou Sakho a speedy recovery from a knee injury.

The France international was left clutching his right knee after he landed awkward following a challenge with Palace winger Yannick Bolasie during the first half of Sunday’s 2-1 defeat at Anfield.

Sakho was replaced by Croatia centre-half Dejan Lovren as the Reds suffered their first defeat under Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp after the 48-year-old took over the Merseyside outfit last month.

The Frenchman’s centre-half partner Skrtel was quick to take to Instagram on Monday evening to send a message to the crocked 26-year-old centre-half.

Skrtel wrote on his Instagram page: “I wish you speedy recovery my brother @mamadousakho3 keep your head up,you will come back even stronger!!!#ynwa #m37s #liverpoolfc #liverpool

Sakho withdrew from the France squad on Monday ahead of the international break.

Sakho has made seven Premier League appearances for the Merseyside outfit this season.
