Liverpool centre-half Martin Skrtel wishes Reds defender Mamadou Sakho a speedy recovery from injury

Martin Skrtel has taken to Instagram to wish Liverpool centre-half Mamadou Sakho a speedy recovery from a knee injury.

The France international was left clutching his right knee after he landed awkward following a challenge with Palace winger Yannick Bolasie during the first half of Sunday’s 2-1 defeat at Anfield.

Sakho was replaced by Croatia centre-half Dejan Lovren as the Reds suffered their first defeat under Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp after the 48-year-old took over the Merseyside outfit last month.

The Frenchman’s centre-half partner Skrtel was quick to take to Instagram on Monday evening to send a message to the crocked 26-year-old centre-half.

Skrtel wrote on his Instagram page: “I wish you speedy recovery my brother @mamadousakho3 keep your head up,you will come back even stronger!!!#ynwa #m37s #liverpoolfc #liverpool

Sakho withdrew from the France squad on Monday ahead of the international break.

Sakho has made seven Premier League appearances for the Merseyside outfit this season.

The France international moved to the five-time European champions in a £16m deal from PSG in the summer of 2013.
