Liverpool produced their best performance since Jurgen Klopp took over the reins of the Reds in Saturday’s emphatic 4-1 win against Manchester City at The Etihad.

Eliaquim Mangala’s seventh-minute own goal set the Reds on their way before Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino edged Liverpool into a 3-0 lead after 32 minutes.

City striker Sergio Aguero did offer some hope for the Citizens before half-time with a fine finish but Martin Skrtel sealed three points with an 81st-minute volley.

Liverpool moved to within six points of fourth-placed Arsenal in the Premier League table after securing back-to-back away wins at Chelsea and City.

The Merseyside outfit host Swansea City in their next fixture at Anfield on Sunday 29 November as the five-time European champions look to respond to a 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace in their most-recent home fixture.
