Piers Morgan criticises Arsenal star after 1-1 draw with Tottenham

Piers Morgan was not very impressed by Olivier Giroud's performance against Tottenham on Sunday...

Piers Morgan was left frustrated by Olivier Giroud’s failure to score for Arsenal as the Gunners were held to a 1-1 draw by Tottenham Hotspur in Sunday’s north London derby.

The French striker was guilty of missing a number of clear-cut opportunities in the second half as Arsene Wenger’s men searched for a winner late on.

Harry Kane gave Tottenham the lead in the 32nd minute at Emirates Stadium when he coolly slotted past Petr Cech.

However, Arsenal battled back and netted an equaliser when Kieran Gibbs came off the bench to turn home Mesut Ozil’s cross in the 77th minute.

Giroud missed a number of headed chances to score throughout the contest as Spurs looked vulnerable when defender set-pieces.

Arsenal shareholder and celebrity fan Morgan was less than impressed by Giroud’s display as the north London side were held to a draw at their home ground.

Morgan tweeted:

The result left Arsenal second in the table and level on points with Manchester City.
