Sergio Aguero runs rule over Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp

Sergio Aguero says Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is a great addition to the Premier League.

The 48-year-old former Borussia Dortmund manager masterminded a 4-1 victory over Manchester City at Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening.

Liverpool sealed one of their most impressive away victories in the Premier League thanks to Eliaquim Mangala’s own goal and strikes from Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and Martin Skrtel.

Speaking to Daily Star, Aguero, who scored what proved to be nothing more than a consolation for the Citizens, explained why he is happy about Klopp’s appointment.

“Jurgen Klopp has come in and he’s a great addition to the Premier League,” Aguero said.

“It’s a good thing that the best players and managers come to England – it makes it one of the most competitive tournaments in the world.

“Klopp did a great job at Dortmund and that secured his spot in the Premier League. I’m sure he’ll have the time he needs to adapt. But playing against tougher opponents makes us all better at our jobs.”

Klopp succeeded Northern Irishman Brendan Rodgers in the Anfield hot seat following the Merseyside derby in October.

The German head coach has won four of his eight games as Liverpool manager since he took over the reins at the Merseyside outfit.
