Arsenal gave their hopes of reaching the Champions League knockout phase a huge boost on Tuesday night after a 3-0 victory over Dinamo Zagreb.

The Gunners will qualify for the last-16 if the north London can beat Olympiacos in Greece on 9 December after the Greek champions lost 4-0 to Bayern Munich at Allianz Arena.

However, Arsenal suffered a shock 3-2 loss to Olympiacos earlier in their group-stage campaign.

And Arsene Wenger’s men don’t have a great record in Greece in the Champions League either, highlighted by this OptaJoe stat.

Arsenal club-record signing Mesut Ozil broke the deadlock in the 29th minute with a close-range header to ease any nerves at Emirates Stadium.

Chile international Alexis Sanchez ended a six-game goal drought with Arsenal’s second four minutes later before the former Barcelona man sealed the victory after half-time.
