Stats show why Man United should consider January swoop for this attacker
Jamie Vardy has been outperforming Wayne Rooney quite considerably so far this season...
Wayne Rooney has come in for plenty of criticism this season after struggling to produce consistent form for the Red Devils.
The England captain has only managed to score two goals in 11 Premier League games for Louis van Gaal’s side so far this term and has been criticised for his patch form.
Jamie Vardy, on the other hand, has been in utterly sensational form for Leicester City to help them up to third place in the Premier League table.
Vardy has already hit 12 goals in the top flight for Claudio Ranieri’s men and boasts a 26 per cent conversion rate, compared to Rooney’s 11.
Rooney’s record this season shows him netting every 491 minutes for United, while Vardy is way ahead with only 89 minutes per goal.
Vardy has also had more than double the total number of shots than Rooney this season and boasts a superior shooting accuracy rate of 59 per cent.
With the January transfer window fast approaching, these damning stats suggest that United should consider a swoop for the Leicester City star.
