Tottenham transfers: Nigerian wonder kid hasn’t agreed Spurs deal, says agent

Victor Osimhen hasn't agreed a deal to join Tottenham Hotspur despite reports, says Nigerian youngster's agent

Tottenham Hotspur haven’t agreed a deal to sign Nigerian wonderkid Victor Osimhen, according to his agent.

The 16-year-old scored 10 times for Nigeria during their Under-17 World Cup as he helped his national team win the tournament for a record fifth time in Chile.

Nigeria retained their crown thanks to a 2-0 victory over Mali in the final after Osimhen scored the opener against their African rivals in the showpiece refereed by Premier League official Michael Oliver.

According to Spanish media outlet AS, Osimhen is set to join the north London side after Tottenham reached an agreement with the teenager.

However, the Nigeria starlet’s agent has rubbished the reports and has insisted that Osimhen has signed any proposed contracts.

“We have not agreed anything with Tottenham Hotspur, it’s just speculation,” Shira Yussuf told AllNigeriaSoccer.

“Victor Osimhen needs to rest, they shouldn’t unsettle the player with these transfer stories. How will a player be in Lagos when they are speculating he has signed a contract with Tottenham Hotspur?”

Osimhen scored 10 times and made two assists during the Under-17 World Cup.
