Tottenham’s Dele Alli reacts on Twitter to his display for England
Dele Alli was a happy man after helping to fire England to a 2-0 victory over France on Tuesday
Dele Alli has taken to social media to admit that he was left speechless after announcing himself to the England faithful with a stunning goal in Tuesday night’s 2-0 friendly win over France at Wembley.
The 19-year-old Tottenham Hotspur starlet opened the scoring for the Three Lions when he drilled home a superb shot past his Spurs team-mate Hugo Lloris to give England the lead in the 39th minute in north London.
Wayne Rooney then secured the win after half-time when he volleyed home to hand Roy Hodgson’s men victory on an emotional night in which fans and players united to honour the victims of the recent Paris attacks.
Alli, who has been in superb form for Tottenham this season, could not hide his delight at his role in the victory via a post on Twitter.
The teenager wrote:
Words can't describe this feeling! Delighted to get my first goal for England tonight at Wembley and win 2-0! Thank you for all the messages

Alli has scored two goals in 11 Premier League for Spurs so far this term and will be expecting to feature when they host West Ham on Sunday.
