Thibaut Courtois has handed Chelsea another boost as the goalkeeper closes in on a return to first-team action with the west London club.

The Belgium international has been sidelined since the start of the season after undergoing knee surgery back in September.

Courtois was originally ruled out for a period of around three months, and the shot-stopper appears to be closing in on a return to action in the next few weeks to hand the Blues a major boost ahead of the hectic festive schedule.

He uploaded the video above onto his Facebook page of himself looking sharp as he stepped up his rehabilitation exercises at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground on Thursday afternoon.

Courtois wrote: “Footage of my rehabilitation with some shooting and movement exercises. I’m feeling great! #CFC #ComeBackStronger”
