Arsene Wenger is hoping to have Laurent Koscielny back available for selection for Arsenal’s Premier League showdown with Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

The French centre-half missed the 5-1 loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League in midweek due to a hip problem but could be ready to face Arsenal’s local rivals at Emirates Stadium.

However, the Gunners boss confirmed that Hector Bellerin will not be fit to feature against Spurs due to the groin injury which forced him to miss the heavy Champions League defeat on Wednesday night.

Speaking at a news conference at Arsenal’s London Colney training ground on Friday morning, Wenger said: “Koscielny might be back but Bellerin won’t be available.”

Spurs, meanwhile, are fifth in the table and five points behind the leaders.
