Zlatan Ibrahimovic has hailed Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho as a “mastermind” coach.

The Sweden international worked with the Blues boss for one season during Mourinho’s two-year reign at San Siro between 2008 and 2010, the Serie A title and Italian Super Cup.

Mourinho is currently coming under pressure after a disappointing start to the defence of Chelsea’s Premier League crown, with the Blues languishing in 15th place.

But Paris Saint-Germain striker Ibrahimovic, who could be reunited with Mourinho if the Portuguese coach takes over the Ligue 1 champions as reported in the media, heaped praise on the 52-year-old manager.

“He’s the masterbrain, mastermind. He knows what he needs to do to win,” Ibrahimovic told CNN.

The Sweden international has won Eredivisie, Serie A, La Liga and Ligue titles during a decorated career.
