Aaron Ramsey reacts on Twitter to Arsenal’s win over Sunderland

Aaron Ramsey was pleased with Arsenal's battling win over the Black Cats

Aaron Ramsey has taken to social media to express his delight at helping Arsenal seal a 3-1 win over Sunderland at Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Tweeting after helping Arsenal climb up the Premier League table, Ramsey posted:

The Gunners took the lead against the Black Cats in the 33rd minute thanks to Joel Campbell’s opener in north London.

However, the visitors drew level on the stroke of half-time when Olivier Giroud scored an own-goal to hand Sunderland a lifeline.

But despite appearing to be nervous for long spells of the game, Arsenal went ahead again in the 63rd minute when Giroud made amends by heading in Ramsey’s pass.

And Ramsey made the three points secure when he bundled home from close range following Calum Chamber’s deflected shot in stoppage time.

The win lifted Arsenal up to second place in the Premier League table after both Manchester clubs dropped points on Saturday.
